Sim card scams

Reggie5
I've been around

I have been reading online about sim card swapping scams where someone else can take over your sim card electronically and get access to all of my banking and personal data on my phone. Is it possible to set up my account so that I have to physically go to a Rogers store and show ID in order to transfer my sim card to another phone?

As long as you protect your account with a good password, and ensure your personal information is safeguarded and has not been compromised in any way, then you should be good, you can also ask them to see if they can set a pin or password on your account, I do not know if they do such thing, but also another good idea is dont use your personal email, open a new email that no one has and use it for important things like online banking and your cell account and your bank and visa cards, that way its unlikely someone can hack your account if they do not know of that email.
