We got a call on Black Friday to upgrade what we have for cell phones and plan. Just to note we have 1 year left on our current cell phone contract with Rogers. Person named Steve Smith called saying we could upgrade both our phones to the latest S24 max, keep our old phones, 150gig for $75. My wife explained we still had 1 year left on our current plan and he said does not matter they will for go that for the new Black Friday package. My wife got suspicious as that did not make sense, she put them off by asking time to think about it and they would phone back in an hour. My wife then called Rogers to check out this guys deal and was able to get through Rogers in record time to find out that it was indeed a scam, Roger would not offer a deal due to we had a year left on our current contract. He called back and long story short we called him on his scam. Thanks to Rogers for the help as we had to do some account securing and no damage done. Please be aware there is scams abound.
