From my knowledge, that does not sound like a legitimate offer from Rogers. Also, we don't typically refer to such an offer as a 'gift' but rather, we'd say 'bonus data' and usually it would be applied automatically to any eligible lines. 

 

Can you please confirm as to the short code or phone number where the text message came from? 

 

Just friendly reminder to never click on any unidentified links or provide any personal info. You may also report any suspicious or unsolicited message for investigation by forwarding it via text message (SMS) to 7726 (SPAM).

I agree with  RogersYasmine,  A legitimate rogers text message will come from a 4 or 5 Digit Shortcode, and NOT a 10 digit consumer phone number.

 

THe reason, is phone numbers can be spoofed and come from anybody, but short codes apparently are much harder to spoof from what I was told, so its better not to trust a message from a random consumer number you dont recognise
