Is this a scam email about noise hotline?

Annemm
I've been here awhile

I received the following email today. Is this a scam?

This is in regards to your Rogers services. Rogers maintenance has traced network interference from your address. This is impacting services in the neighbourhood. Rogers would like to schedule an appointment to have a technician resolve the issue.  At your earliest convenience, please call us at 1.866.654.8536.  Our hours of operation are Monday to Sunday from 9am to 5pm.

You will not be charged for this service as this is part of Rogers’ network maintenance.

Thank you for choosing Rogers, and have a great day.

I plan to stick around

Hi Annemm,

I just called this number & asked the specialist to transfer me to credit operations, customer care then loyalty.

I can confirm this number (1.866.654.8536) is in fact a genuine Rogers number.
