I just got the same text message and just deleted it. I know it's a scam because:
1) It's a text message that won't open using WIFI. I had to switch on my mobile data to view the text message. Most text message scams for some reason won't open using WIFI?
2) If there's any payment problems you would deal with it via MyRogers account. Even then, I would never click on a link from a text message that might use the wording of 'myrogers' mixed into it. I would ONLY use my desktop computer to login to my Rogers account.
3) I logged into MyRogers account and it reads my current total balance is $0.00, meaning my last payment was accepted.
3) I recently paid my Rogers bill via online banking and then the next day, I received an Email confirmation from Rogers regarding my payment.
Just letting the community know how I go about determining if a text message from Rogers is a phishing scam.
