I ordered the phone online with Rogers and the live chat agent at fido mentioned that Rogers has better offer and can help me set up everything as it's the same company. I do have he chat emailed to me.
He asked to fill out the form with two pieces of ID and mentioned that I will receive confirmation emails, one with my account number and the other with just the account number.
I got the confirmation email from onlinesales@rci.rogers.com that has confirmation of the order received and shipping address which was my old adress also the contact number with the confirmation was of a specific person and he kept hanging up.
I called the customer service to have it corrected and they mentioned that the account has been cancelled as the date of birth was not entered correctly and I will receive cancellation in 24-48 hours.
Wondering if this is a fraudelent activity and I have been worried about it so much, I am no longer interested in going through all the hustle.
