Unless something suddenly changed without any fanfare, Rogers does not offer Xfinity TV set-top boxes for sale or technically allow you to own one. If you somehow acquire one online somewhere, Rogers (almost certainly) will not activate it.

As far as I am aware, every Xfinity (formerly ignite) set top box is a rental, so if someone is selling it privately, then it is very likely either reported as stolen or non-returned hardware, and i'm sure they red flagged the equipment serial number. Good luck getting someone to add this device to your account.
