Nokia FastMile 5G - Server error 0x800cc0e

Patioo
I've been here awhile

I recently got the Rogers 5g Nokia internet hub and it worked great for a week or two then last week I could not connect to my emails on outlet for home and work. I work from home and this error message comes up 0x800cc0e or d and then i try to connect to my office through a remote server and it says the server may be down. I have no problems on my cell phone getting 100 mbs and I can download movies on my firestick on 2 tv's with no issues. It seems like the signal is okay to the remote but my connections on my desk top computer work one day and not the next. I still have my old internet provider and when I switch networks my computer works fine. I disabled my antivirus and firewall and that did not make a difference. I like the Nokia versatility and download speeds but I can't figure out why it keeps not allowing me to connect to different servers. I have called Rogers twice and no results, any ideas??

Hello, @Patioo.

We're delighted you joined our Community. Knowing you love the Rogers 5G Home Internet service with the Nokia FastMile 5G Gateway is pleasing.

Your emails worked for a few days, then stopped working when connected to FastMile, which is worrisome. Let's figure out the cause behind this interruption:

  • Do you recall any changes made to FastMile after the initial setup?
  • Are you using the same network name as your previous provider?
  • Is your desktop computer connected through Ethernet to FastMile?
  • By "outlet," do you mean "Outlook"? If yes, is it Outlook365?
  • Do you need to use a VPN to connect to your work email?
  • What's the exact error message you are seeing?
  • Have you rebooted both FastMile and your desktop computer?

The more details we can get, the better our Community can help.

Cheers,

RogersMoin

Thanks for getting back to me. As far as the questions above I haven't changed a thing and it's still not allowing me to connect with multiple servers. The network names are different and I am connected wirelessly. I have tried plugging in an ethernet cable and it shows that I'm NOT connected. I have rebooted the hub and my computer several times and nothing. The outlet I use is Outlet express for emails however I'm not sure it's Outlet 365 but it likely is. The VPN I use to connect to our main office is Sonicwall NetExtender and the errors and the message that comes up when I try to connect is "server is not reachable. The server may be down or your internet settings may be down". The error that come up when I try to get me emails are 0x800CCC0E, cannot connect to the server. As previously mentioned the service has worked in the past then stopped working for about 4-5 days then started working again and now it's not working but my old Internet provider works with no issues. Also my TV's all work, it's just my desktop. Let me know what we can do.

Re: Nokia FastMile 5G - Server error 0x800cc0e

Hello, @Patioo.

Thank you for sharing additional details. Usually, one of the devices or the applications is not connecting; the issue is isolated to that device/app.

Have you contacted your work IT support? You can tell the support that you have an active Internet connection, you can browse the Internet and other devices are connected as well, but you can't connect to the VPN or access work emails. Hopefully, they can help you resolve the issue.

As a last resort, you can factory reset your FastMile if required.

Factory Reset:

  1. Press the reset button located on the bottom of the FastMile for 5 seconds or more.
  2. The unit will reset to its factory default settings and erase all configured settings. Your FastMile may restart twice during a factory reset.

You can follow the instructions listed on our support page to set up your Nokia FastMile.

Regards,

RogersMoin
