Use Rogers Xfinity app to set up port forwarding to enable applications like video games, video conferencing and more.

Rogers Xfinity app is available exclusively for Rogers Internet customers with the Rogers Xfinity Gateway modem. Not sure if this is your modem? Check under “Internet” on your MyRogers account.

How does port forwarding work?

Since your Rogers Xfinity Gateway modem blocks potentially harmful access to your internet, certain applications may require designated ports in order to work properly.

Adding a port forward

  1. Open the Rogers Xfinity app and sign in using your MyRogers username and password.
  2. At the bottom, select Overview and tap on View network details at the top.
  3. Select Advanced Settings and then Port Forwarding from the list.
  4. Select Add Port Forward. A drop-down list of household devices will display.
  5. Choose the device for which you want to add a port forward.
  6. Choose from the list of common applications to use a recommended, preset configuration for your chosen device (i.e. PlayStation), or select Manual Setup to enter a custom configuration.

Editing or deleting a port forward

  1. Open the Rogers Xfinity app and sign in using your MyRogers username and password.
  2. At the bottom, select Overview and tap on View network details at the top.
  3. Select Advanced Settings and then Port Forwarding from the list.
  4. Select Edit next to the port forward you want to edit or delete.
  5. Select Delete this Port Forward to delete or select Apply Edits after making edits.
