Rogers IPV6 service not working

davidlin15
I've been around

Hi all, IPV6 seems not available for my internet, I can see IPV6 address on gateway, but when I try https://ipv6-test.com/, shows no ipv6 supported. I am currently not on bridge mode and not set up any fancy setting. Can anyone help me?

I have tried contact support, they said a third party test service is not trusted and he said its support ipv6, but I cannot get it

@davidlin15 did you ask the tech to check the modem from his or her end, and if so, was he or she able to access the modem?  I'm betting no, as Rogers uses IPv6 for modem access and control.

Can you do the following using a command prompt, run and IPv4 trace, and then run an IPv6 trace.

tracert -4 www.google.com

tracert -6 www.google.com

Select the data to copy it and then use Ctrl c to copy the data.  In another post, use Ctrl v to paste the data.  Wipe out the final three octets of the IPv6 data in the first line so that they aren't displayed or included in the data.  Then post the data.  Posting an IPv4 trace isn't an issue.  Posting an entire IPv6 trace that points to your modem is.  So, for security purposes, your pc and modem IPv6 address shouldn't be posted in an open forum.

You can also send that data to me directly.  When your logged into the forum, hover your mouse over my name which is located at the top of my post, and select Private Message from the popup that you should see.  Include all of the above data please.  And, if you're going to do this via private message, please run the following command as well and include the data:     ipconfig/all

That will display all of the IP address data for the pc, which I would like to see.

If this is what I think it is, its another of a series of CMTS configuration failures that only the Network Engineering staff can resolve, given that someone from that group has most likely caused this issue in the first place.

ipv6-test.com is a bit broken at the moment.  To test IPv6 connectivity, you can use https://test-ipv6.com/

Also try "Test your connection" on https://en.internet.nl/
