I called Rogers to enquire about cell phone data usage. After clarifying my query the CSR advised me that my internet/landline plan was no longer available and I had to switch to Xfinity. The plan was switched to Xfinty and I received box within a week. After setting up the box as per instructions I found my landline was disconnected. I called Rogers and the CSR told me I cannot have a landline unless I add TV to my plan. I never had TV in my original plan and the agent never told TV was a requirement to have a landline. I am now trying to port my landline # to another provider as I don't want TV and being told my number has been disconnected. How do I recover my landline #. The number is used by doctors/banks etc to contact us. How can I recover my to get it ported?

Hi Guinny,
That is indeed very strange/odd and goes against the experience my parents have with Rogers.
My parents have Rogers Xfinity Internet and Rogers XfinityHome phone (formerly known as Rogers Ignite) but they do NOT have Rogeres Xfinity TV (formerly Ignite TV)
So it seems somewhere down the line there was a miscommunication as it is entirely possible in my opinion to have Rogers Xfinity Internet and Home Phone WITHOUT TV.
