My Rogers phone landline went dead for a whole day! Got up this morning and it is working again. Why would this happen? Internet and TV worked fine (thank heavens).
Yesterday, Rogers said nothing showed up when they checked their end of things, they walked me through troubleshooting my end (via online chat, as I don’t have a cellphone), but no luck. So, I scheduled a service call for today. However, when I got up this morning - viola! The phone is now working again. Not a good thing to lose the ability to have 911 access!!

Hello, @stelliebellie.
We appreciate you joining our Community and sharing your landline phone concern. We're glad to hear that your landline is now working again.
There could be several reasons why your landline died and then started working again. It might have been due to a temporary issue with the local network, maintenance work, or an intermittent fault that resolved itself.
Such service interruptions are unavoidable. As a backup, for emergencies, you should have a cell phone. You don't need a plan or a SIM card to dial 911.
I appreciate your understanding.
Regards,
RogersMoin
