An excellent question. The entire process is really suspicious - it asks for a ton of personal information, the people I dealt with had terrible English, the website seems to be Rogers affiliated but it's uncertain, the reps call/text/and email repeatedly. The entire thing smacks of phishing. There's got to be a better way.

Agree. Just got an email thanking me for selecting Red Wireless as my trusted provider - which of course I did not. It really con cerns me. I dod not want to acknowledge them in anyway - even to call them and say I never authorized anything in connection to them. It feels like a
scam.

They took over zoomerwireless.ca, jacked up most of the prices, no more 10% discount for CARP members, and yes it's a phishing expedition for sure..give your info just to see the offers. I've never seen that before anywhere.

I switched to Red Wireless a while back due to the fact cityfone was announcing it was shutting down , remember that cityfone was using Rogers system that is why you likely got contacted by Rogers and cityfone as of December 1st 2024 cityfone will no longer operate so if you didn't switch good chance you have missed out, at the time of my switch over I had a internet plan, home phone and T.V I just read a good deal from Red Wireless for internet

Do you have T.V coverage with your plan
I am paying $83.00 for my internet it was $71.00 a couple months ago but like everything Rogers provide they sneak the prices up on a monthly deal but you have to read the fine print , it mentions this

I caution against using red wireless. If they make a mistake on your order. Good luck ever fixing. It's all promises by the agents but things don't get done. I had to make 5 separate calls over 3 months and be on the phone for over 30 minutes each time explaining my issue. They all see the problem at the end and say it will be fixed in the next billing cycle and then nothing happens. I already convinced a number of coworkers not to go with red wireless or Rogers. You know it's bad when I'd rather pay a bit more and NOT be with Rogers/Red Wireless. I'll keep spreading my experience to people I meet and on social media
