MOZILLA_PKIX_ERROR_MITM_DETECTED error

Geezup
I plan to stick around

When I reset my modem to factory default I got a error code before getting to the Rogers log in screen.

"This issue is caused by CableLabs, Inc. Cable Modem Root Certificate Authority, which is either software on your computer or your network."

Hasn't happened before and would like to know if anyone has this.

Hello, @Geezup.

Thank you for posting the error message in the Community.

By Rogers log in screen, do you mean the Easy Connect webpage where you set up the WiFi network? Have you tried a different browser or a device to replicate the error?

Are you getting the same error on different websites?

Community - anybody else encountering this error?

Cheers,
RogersMoin

Thanks for the reply.

Yes it is during the easy connect log in screen. Haven't tried other browsers because I pretty much use Firefox. It started yesterday when I did a factory reset. Would like to know why this appears all of a sudden. I looked around and couldn't find any answers.

I've been here awhile

I also got this from outlook.office365.com when I installed a replacement hitron modem from rogers this morning.  See this other post:  https://communityforums.rogers.com/t5/Internet/Hitron-Router-Man-in-the-Middle-Attack/m-p/434462/hig...
