Starting April 6th, a GPS time reset issue, called GPS Week Rollover may impact the accuracy of a user’s location on select GPS-enabled devices when making a 9-1-1 call.
The vast majority of devices on the Rogers network will not be impacted. If you purchased Doro 620 and 626 devices from Rogers, the accuracy of a user’s location when making a 9-1-1 call may be impacted. The ability to make a 9-1-1 call is not impacted. Rogers will share updates as information becomes available.
If you are using a device that was not purchased at Rogers, please contact the manufacturer to learn of any GPS Week Number Rollover impacts.
Please do not make 9-1-1 calls to test accuracy of GPS location.
