@KAB2 : Since you're posting in the Apple forum, I assume that you have an iPhone. Be advised that, as mentioned by @Pauly iPhones have their own "live Voicemail" - in effect two voicemail locations - one on the Rogers network and one on the phone. This is discussed and explained in the following thread - please read it.
Make sure that you either set it up properly, or turn Live Voicemail off. Live VM links below:

Good afternoon @KAB2!
I am sorry to hear that you're having difficulties with your voicemail.
Could you be more specific about the issue that you're experiencing? Is voicemail not picking up for incoming callers at all or is it picking up but not recording?
Are you currently within Canada or roaming abroad?
Are you using Visual Voicemail or the Live Voicemail feature?
Please let us know!
Regards,
RogersCorey

When my phone show a voice mail, i log in and nothing is recorded. It seems to be inconsistent, sometimes it works, but often not.

Do you happen to have an iPhone? if you do, you can thank Apple Computer Inc, as they added a voicemail feature directly in your phone, so your phone has its own answering machine separate of that of Rogers or who ever is your wireless carrier.
If you do not have an iphone and still having issues with voicemail, please disregard my above comment about Apple Computer Inc and simply call Rogers customer service and ask to troubleshoot your voicemail
Thanks
