Is anyone else having problems accessing any new shows on Demand on the old cable system? I have missed several shows over the past 2 weeks and nothing appears to be working at Rogers on their automated updates. The last shows recorded for several shows on Global, City and CTV all appear the be October 9th. It's now October 25th. Two long conversations with Rogers technical support and phone messages back saying that nothing appears to be wrong with this service. I'm apparently the only person that this is affecting. Guess it's time to find another service provider. One technician suggested that I download the app and watch the shows on a phone or computer. Great for a family of four to watch shows on a laptop. Not everyone has a smart phone and that would be even worse for the group viewing.

Well good for you. Some of us have been with Rogers a lot longer than that and cannot afford the change.

I've been with Rogers since 1988, but that was not the reason for my comment. Most people have found that equivalent packages with Xfinity are usually less expensive than continuing with Legacy Digital Cable. Have you seriously looked at your options and discussed them with Rogers? PM the mods to see what's on offer?
The only time this may not be the case is if you want a lot of boxes, but the workaround for that would be to stream using a device or have FireStick on less-used TVs or negotiate an overall price with boxes that is satisfactory for your needs.
The point I'm making is that everyone is paying more while Rogers continues to offer both options. I'm actually shocked that it is taking so long. I'm guessing some MDU or business contracts may be the reason for the foot-dragging.

Getting off topic, but I want to give an example of how Rogers still tries to help Legacy customers with signal or Nextbox problems.
Rogers told me that there are some areas that don't have access to Ignite services, but do have digital legacy service.
I was also told by tech support that it's perhaps possible that in some areas, the Rogers system will not allow another digital box to be added to an already exsisting legacy account.
However, a person in my building with some Legacy Dig. TV (9865, no PVR) signal problems (macro-blocking on two HD channrls and occasional Sig/Noise black screens that eventually go away), called Rogers during black screens issue and got a tech sent to the apartment before Christmas. Tech assumed it was a faulty Nextbox and swapped it with the one (smaller black version, also with clock display) in his truck. Still black screens, so he called for another truck with a box (each truck usually only carries one Nextbox), but that box also didn't fix the problem. More than 2 hours later, she told the tech to just add her original box back to the account.
Her original box still works most of the time, and at least the SD versions of the 2 macro-blocked channels work. Too bad the Rogers coax is stuck in the splitter, or else I could probably fix it for her myself. Different HDMI cords (and tv input slots) were tried, but still no luck.
