Has anybody else received this message? I received a text message claiming it was from Rogers today February 12th at 3:27 p.m.
Message reads: Your MyRogers Verification Code is: 4xxx76 . Remember, do not share this code with anyone. Our employees will never ask you to disclose a verification code or password.

The message is likely from Rogers, however, it was generated when you (or somebody else) tried to login to your account. This is 2FA (two factor authentication) and happens with many companies or institutions.
If you were not trying to login, then it was probably a scammer who may have your password (or was using the forgot password option) and you should change your password.

Apologies for the confusion. Yes, I understand that the message was a two-factor authentication request. I should have provided more context—I wasn’t attempting to log into my account when I received the text. I had successfully logged in two hours earlier without any issues. Then, while I was out shopping, I received this unexpected message, which made me wonder if this was a new scam targeting Rogers customers. Thank you for your reply though!

hi cleopatra_snile
Thanks for giving us the missing information. Since you tried to login to your My Rogers account, the message you received is from the Two Factor authentication, the fact you got it 2 hours later means there is some serious delay going on with the My Rogers portal that they should be invested in fixing but they are not doing this,
This text message or Email you received is not a scam, but scammers do try to steal customer information by pretending to be Rogers employees and give fake offers, then they need the security code to access your account, so the scammers then try calling you and want you to read off the code to them, this is why they added the "Remember, do not share this code with anyone. Our employees will never ask you to disclose a verification code or password." thanks for sharing this and being extra diligent
