Rogers signed me up for a 2 year contract without my knowledge

On March 14 Rogers signed me up for a 2 year internet contract without my knowledge. I was a regular month to month customer prior to this.

The customer service person said an agent spoke to me on the phone and confirmed my cell phone number but this phone call never took place.

I opened a fraud investigation but never received a call from them. I called customer service who said they tried to call on either March 18 or 19, he said he didn't know which day but I didn't answer. This is false as I do not have a missed call or voicemail from anyone. I again confirmed they have the correct phone number on file.

He said someone will call again on either April 4 or 5 and it's the end of the day but still no phone call.

I need this resolved ASAP.

Ask them to show you the signature that you signed up for the 2 year contract. It's insane. You call them. Make any change to the service and they automatically signed me up to a 2 year contract without my knowledge. . ...

Rogers signed me up for a two year contract without my knowledge. They want over $300 to cancel my internet! Im honestly shocked and furious at the situation. They aren't sending any proof I agreed either verbally or in writing to a contract, so Im still sitting here wondering if it's even valid. I don't recall verbally agreeing to a two year contract so Im not sure how they managed to sneak it in legally. Had I known I was going to be locked in, I would never have agreed. So how is it even possible such an agreement exists?

File a complaint with CCTS. It's a government thing and Rogers is required to respond to you. You will get a phone call from someone from "the office of the president". In my case they gaslit me and said that they reviewed the case and found no fraud took place (lies). Refused to show me the evidence but agreed to refund me everything from the beginning of the fraudulent contract and cancel their services with no fees.
