Phone fraud?

I received a call from someone at (844) 682-4255 claiming to be a Rogers rep.  When I asked for a Rogers phone number to call her back, she refused and started to argue with me.  I assumed this was a fraudulent call.  Has anyone else received a similar call?  Thanks.

Generally, there are instances where we will call you directly, but if you are ever in doubt, we will have the account noted, and you can always hang up and call our direct line to confirm. You can also check out our website for some important steps on how to spot a telemarketing scam.

Same, I keep getting calls from this number which is spoofing as ROGERS. They called several times a day, it got more frequent recently, so I blocked it.

Same thing happened to me yesterday, received two suspicious calls but instead of blocking the number I just hung up both times.  THere is no point blocking because if you noticed, they will call from a different number right? so that means the block does not work, but it sometimes makes people feel good to do some kind of  action then go for it
