BEWARE of elaborate scam txts

I just got a txt, with the Rogers logo, and a URL. I'm a retired IT Specialist, and very savvy on the scam tactics.

The text said:

THIS IS 100% A SCAM.

Thank you for sharing this message with the Community! I am sure our users will find this info valuable. It has become increasingly hard to differ between legitimate and spam messages.

As a general rule, I always recommend our users to exercise caution when sharing personal or financial info over the Internet or with unknown senders.

I got into Computers and IT, long before cell phones. My tech knowledge goes back to owning my first computer that was built by Zenith in 1971, and My first "real" computer was the first Apple in 1979, but by the 80's I got into PC's. I'm PC certified in the means of every Microsoft certification known, as well as CompTia certified.. Anyways: "online" scams started even back in the days of Dial-Up access via LYNX (before the World Wide Web). They can evolve all they want, I am happy to share my knowledge on how to spot them.
