Follow the steps on this page to set up your Rogers Xfinity Stream Box.
Before you begin
Make sure your Rogers Xfinity Internet is set up and online. Without it, you won’t be able to set up your Rogers Xfinity Streaming service.
Set up your Rogers Xfinity Stream Box
Place your Rogers Xfinity Stream Box in a spot that’s:
- Close to your TV and a power outlet
- Within WiFi range
- Off the ground with lots of free airflow
It is highly recommended to keep your Rogers Xfinity Stream Box in sight while you’re setting up. Once activated, you may tuck it away if you prefer. However, please note that placing your Stream Box inside or behind cabinets or furniture is not recommended.
- Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI port located at the back of the Rogers Xfinity Stream Box. Connect the other end to the HDMI port at the back of your TV.
- Connect the power adaptor provided to the Rogers Xfinity Stream Box and then plug in to an electrical outlet.
- Turn on your TV and select the same HDMI input connected to your Rogers Xfinity Stream Box.
- Remove the “Pull” tab on the back of the Rogers Xfinity Voice Remote.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to continue customizing your settings and to pair your Rogers Xfinity Voice Remote.
Additional options
Using WiFi Protected Setup (WPS) to pair your set-top box with your Rogers Xfinity Gateway modem

Press the WPS button on the bottom edge of your Rogers Xfinity Stream Box.

Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button located on the top edge of your Rogers Xfinity Gateway modem. Setup will continue automatically after pairing is complete.
To prevent signal degradation and interference, use the provided terminating caps on all unused coax splitter and cable wall outlets.

- Make sure you’re registered for MyRogers. This is required for app sign-in.
