5G Home Internet for RV clarification

dwightpro
I've been here awhile

Hi there,

With recent events, we are considering switching our RV internet service to Rogers from Starlink this season. We had a few questions (we are planning to sign up in the spring when we start the season again).

  1. Can we use the Nokia FastMile 5G Gateway (the "For the Home" offering) and take it with us as we move from campground to campground? We like the idea of the better gateway without a battery, since our coach has an inverter. It's not clear on the site whether the Nokia Gateway has more geographic limitations than the "on the go" offering.
  2. Can the service be suspended for the winter (November -> April/May)?
  3. I assume we can use our own router and turn off the Wi-Fi network on the Nokia gateway? We don't have any problems with Double-NAT or anything like that. We basically are double-NAT'd on IPv4 with Starlink right now anyway
  4. Far less important, but is IPv6 available?

Thanks! We appreciate any insight, and really hoping that we've found a potential replacement here.
