The technical community is celebrating its first anniversary! And you’re invited to the party…
We’re giving away an HTC EVO™ 3D. Bet you’ve never seen your phone in 3D before. Shoot video and pics in 3D and watch the images jump back at you, glasses-free. Fast dual core processor running Android 2.3 Gingerbread + HTC Sense out of the box – latest/greatest right there and it could be yours!
How can you win?
We’re looking for the best tech tips and tricks. Have a totally awesome tip that you want to share with the community? Post it in reply to this message between August 5 and August 19.
We’ll randomly pick one winner from all those who shared an awesome tip. You can submit as many tips as you want but you will only earn one entry in the draw. After the contest closes, we’ll move the tips into the boards that they belong in.

In Windows, running msconfig (Start menu->Run->msconfig) allows you to configure what services and applications will start on system startup. This can be helpful when wanting to disable unnecessary resources from automatically being used.

Avoid roaming charges while at the beach. (or close to the US border)
Was at the beach this weekend and noticed that I lost my Rogers signal and was using a US carrier. Quickly went into my iphone settings under Carrier and changed it from automatic to ROGERS.
Did a similar change to the kid’s blackberry’s as they too had picked up the US carrier and hadn’t noticed. Could have racked up a nice little bill as they are constantly texting and bbm’ing. (Even at the beach)
