Rogers Wireless Plan for seniors

Before I bought my new cellphone in November 2024 twice I asked Rogers retention if they had a plan for seniors. Once on phone and once at their store -both times they said no.
I bought a new cellphone but I had to change my data plan (it was an infinite plan) to higher plan.
Move forward to December I received an email from Red Wireless with GREAT phones and plans for seniors. I got one for my husband.
Why was I not offered this when I called and when I went to the store?
I called Red Wireless today and the cannot change my plan as I am locked in for 2 years.
Rogers was even advertising better plans for seniors.
Anyone else experience this?
