The text about roaming is triggered as soon as you connect to a foreign cell tower and it probably states something like - "roaming costs will apply according to your cell phone plan" or something similar. I would suspect that you may see a charge for Roam Like Home and then a credit for up to 5 days...

Note also that there is a difference between "Roam Like Home", which the CC gives you and "Roaming" which comes into effect when you use your phone in a manner dissimilar to at home - for example, calling from one foreign country to another foreign country.  See also:

Hello, @Meln22

Welcome to our Community and thank you for posting your query from Mexico! We hope you are enjoying your trip.

To add more info to what @57 has mentioned since you said, you just got the Rogers Mastercard, did you link your Rogers Wireless account with the Rogers Mastercard? You can learn more about how to Link accounts to get 5 Roam Like Home days | Rogers Bank.

You will automatically be credited up to 5 Roam Like Home days per year to your Rogers bill once you link your Rogers Mastercard account to your Rogers postpaid account and eligible wireless plan. Both accounts must be in good standing. Unused Roam Like Home days at no cost do not carry over to the following year.

Cheers,

RogersMoin
