how to prevent international & US texts

My mother who is in her 80s (not tech savvy) has unlimited Canada talk & text. However she once in a while "forgets" and texts to US and international numbers.

Is there a way to prevent the extra charge either on the plan or the iphone itself (she is living on a very limited budget).

Thanks for posting your concerns here in the Rogers Community. I can certainly see your dilemma.  Regretfully, we do not have an option which will allow us to specifically block text messages to U.S/International phone numbers. So sorry for any disappointment. 😞
