Galaxy Watch Ultra Setup

I plan to stick around

I just got a Galaxy Watch Ultra which I haven't setup yet cause I'm wondering if it's better to take it to a Rogers Wireless Store to have them set the watch up or should I setup the watch myself?

Hi @mattydog,

You have the choice to complete the pairing and plan setup in store or at home. If you need help setting the watch up at home, you can call into our wireless technical support. You can also check out this page.

I will be going into a Rogers Wireless Store to have my watch activated with 1 number pairing (data share)..
But I'm hearing rumors that Rogers Wireless does not do 1 number pairing (data share) if it's a Galaxy Watch bought from a third-party store is this true or false?

@mattydog that is correct. The watch would have it's own number.

So in other words the Rogers customer service agent I talked to on the phone as well as the customer service agent I talked to in a live chat lied to me

Well after being a long time Rogers Wireless customer (15 yrs) I have made the decision to switch over to another provider by the end of December due to the fact that Rogers does not allow there customers to bring there own third-party Samsung Galaxy Watches for activation on 1 number pairing which I find down right wrong.

I've been here awhile

Setting up the galaxy watch ultra on the Bell and Telus networks is quick and easy. The 1 number sharing works perfectly. I bought my watch from the Samsung store. I can't believe Rogers has this issue, they don't seem to be working on a remedy. I'm definitely switching back to bell because of this.

I don't think Rogers wants to come up with a remedy to solve this issue because they want people to be locked in on a 24 month financing contract with them to purchase one of their Samsung Galaxy Watches.
I bought my Galaxy Watch Ultra from Visions Electronics for $135 cheaper than Rogers has them for.
