The following steps explain how to turn on auto backup and restore to backup content to a Gmail account and restore to an Android device.
Note: These settings are general instructions only. Android™ is available on many devices and different versions exist in the market. This guide was made to provide instructions on as many devices and versions of the Android OS as possible.
- Open Apps/Applications.
- Select Settings.
- Select Accounts.
- Select Backup and reset.
- Toggle on Back up my data.
- Select Backup account to choose the Gmail account you want to backup the content to.
- Toggle on Automatic restore.
- Content will be restored once the Gmail account is added and the Automatic restore option is enabled.
