We have some exciting news to share! The Weather Network app is now available for Ignite TV and Ignite Streaming! From heat waves to snowstorms, the Weather App keeps you in the know so you can prepare for whatever Canada’s climate throws at you.

 Key features:

• Hyper-local weather forecasts:
  • Choose your current location to automatically detect the forecast within 1km.
  • Severe weather and storm alerts. Alerts can include rainfall, lightning, snow, temperature swing, etc.
  • Multiple map layers, including weather radar and satellite maps.
  • Precipitation start and stop times within a 10 minute window.
• Personalized experience:
  • Save up to 10 cities
  • Adjust units of measurement
  • Choose from 6 languages (English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, or German).
• Multi-media content:
  • Video on-demand content focusing on extreme weather and nature footage, regional reports, climate change, lifestyle, science, and episodic shows.
  • Nature photo gallery with submissions from users around the world.
• App notification pop-ups on Weather Network channels

Here’s how to easily access and use it:

Basic use:

Open Weather from the Apps menu or say “Weather Network app” into the voice remote to launch the app. You can also access the app via the pop-up notification when tuned to live Weather Network channel.

1.  The four-day forecast for your location will display.
2. Select Extended Forecast to see more details for each day of the week.
3. Press Exit to return to standard TV viewing, or press Last to return to the Apps menu.

Add a location:

1. In Weather, select Add Location.
2. Enter your postal code, then press the OK button on your voice remote to confirm.
3. If you don’t know your postal code, select Enter City Name and enter the name of your location, then press the OK button to confirm. The location will be added.

Delete a location:

1. In Weather, select the location you want to delete.
2. Select the X icon next to the location, then press the OK button to confirm. The location will be removed.
