Unsolicited calls with “better” offers

Bgi
I've been around
I get at least one call a week from people claiming to be from Rogers. They offer all the services I have now but for about 25% of my current bill. Assuming this is a scam, is Rogers trying to do anything to end this? Do the scammers really offer the same services for huge discounts? Does anybody know anyone who has said yes to these people?

1. Anything that's too good to be true usually is.  There is nothing Rogers can do about this other than warning people, like we (and you) do in this forum.  If you look at the many posts in this forum on the topic, you will see that you are not alone.  There's a link below regarding avoiding such scams:

2. They offer them, however, anyone who says yes, is typically scammed, either conned into giving away their personal information, especially credit card info, or SIN, or other, or conned into purchasing expensive phones, that they don't get, etc.
