Received a call from someone saying they are a Rogers sales associate, offering phone-internet-cable package for $89/mo, much less than we pay now. Said he could not access our current Rogers contract because he is a sales associate in a different department. Is this a scam?

Hello, @Kld1.
Thank you for your post, and welcome to our Community!
It is essential to be cautious when receiving telemarketing calls offering deals or packages. It's difficult these days to differentiate between legitimate and fraudulent calls. There have been many discussions and warnings about potential scams in our Community.
Here are some tips to protect yourself:
Never give out personal details: Be cautious about providing personal information, such as account or financial information, over the phone in an unsolicited call.
Verify the offer: If you are interested in the offer, it is advisable to contact us directly. Also, you can log in to your MyRogers and check the promotion.
Be aware of common scam tactics: Scammers may use various tactics to deceive individuals, such as offering significantly lower prices, pressuring for immediate decisions, or creating a sense of urgency. Stay vigilant and trust your instincts if something seems suspicious.
Remember, it is always better to be prudent and verify the legitimacy of any offers or calls before providing personal information or making financial commitments.
Cheers,
RogersMoin
