Can't send to 7726

I get at least 3 spam texts per day.  Before I was forced to switch to Rogers I never got these.
Of course I block and delete, but this is really getting out of hand, so I have been trying to forward these to 7726 (spam) but consistently get the greyed out text saying "couldn't send the message" - what's the point of a spam reporting service if I can send to it?

Anyone know why I can't send to 7726?

ETA - turns out what looked like sms was actually mms - problem solved, copy and past went through just fine.  Ignore me, lol.
