Authenticity of Rogers Dealers

How do authenticate real Rogers Dealers from phishing scams and frauds?

I was solicited on email for an appealing service offer. In my past, I was also called by a fraudster saying they were with Rogers Bank detecting unusual activity on my card. It turned out to be fake, phishing for my info to commit fraud.

So how do we as the public determine if an offer is truly from an authentic authorized dealer?

thanks,

- B

You can't really.  If somebody says that they are calling on behalf of Rogers, DO NOT provide ANY personal information over the phone.  If they are legitimate, they will already have access to your account.  If they are offering you a deal or notifying you of a problem, ask them to document it on your account, then HANG UP the phone to terminate the call.  You should then call Rogers directly to follow up.

shouldn't there be a way that Rogers head office should be able to confirm if a group saying they are a dealer to verifiable?
