Sportsnet Announces 2023-24 National NHL Broadcast Schedule

The countdown begins until the start of the next NHL season, which is only a few months away. As we get ready for it, Sportsnet has unveiled its national NHL broadcast schedule for the 2023-24 season, which includes 155+ national matchups throughout the regular season. The network's three marquee broadcast nights are Scotiabank Wednesday Night Hockey, Rogers Monday Night Hockey, and the beloved Hockey Night in Canada. Highlights of the national NHL broadcast schedule include 31 Wednesday night matchups starting from October to April, 100 Hockey Night in Canada broadcasts throughout the regular season, and 27 national broadcasts on Monday nights featuring Canadian teams.

 

In addition to the national broadcasts, Sportsnet will also air over 190+ regional matchups as the official regional TV and streaming broadcast partner for the Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames, and Toronto Maple Leafs. The regional schedule details will be announced later.

 

Sportsnet will also exclusively broadcast special NHL events such as the:
• 2023 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic (Commonwealth Stadium, Edmonton) – October 29
• 2024 Discover NHL Winter Classic (T-Mobile Park, Seattle) – January 1
• 2024 NHL All-Star Weekend (Scotiabank Arena, Toronto) February 2 – 2024 NHL All-Star Skills presented by DraftKings
• February 3 – 2024 Rogers NHL All-Star Game
• 2024 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series (MetLife Stadium, New Jersey) – February 17
• 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs & Final

The mid-week broadcast returns on October 11, featuring all 7 Canadian teams in action:

    • 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT – Montreal Canadiens vs Toronto Maple Leafs (Sportsnet and Sportsnet+)
    • 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT – Ottawa Senators vs Carolina Hurricanes (Sportsnet 360 and Sportsnet+)
    • 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT – Winnipeg Jets vs Calgary Flames (Sportsnet West, and Sportsnet+)
    • 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT – Edmonton Oilers vs Vancouver Canucks (Sportsnet, Sportsnet 360, and Sportsnet+)

 

Hockey Night in Canada

The iconic national Saturday tradition premieres on October 14 with six Canadian teams hitting the ice:

  • 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT – Minnesota Wild vs Toronto Maple Leafs (Sportsnet, CBC, OMNI, and Sportsnet+)
  • 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT – Chicago Blackhawks vs Montreal Canadiens (Sportsnet East, Citytv and Sportsnet+)
  • 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT – Calgary Flames vs Pittsburgh Penguins (Sportsnet West, Citytv, and Sportsnet+)
  • 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT – Vancouver Canucks vs Edmonton Oilers (Sportsnet, CBC, Citytv, OMNI, and Sportsnet+)

Every Monday night, Sportsnet features the latest broadcast technology and innovations, including augmented and virtual reality features, from its state-of-the-art NHL studios powered by Rogers. Rogers Monday Night Hockey presented by Desjardins and Pepsi premieres October 16:
