Hello Sports Fans
The NBA finals are finally here!
The western conference final was a very one-sided affair with the Denver Nuggets sweeping the LA Lakers in 4 games. Fun Fact: This is only the third time that Lebron James has been swept in the playoffs in his 20 year long career.
The eastern conference final was one of almost historical proportions. The Boston Celtics overcame a 0 – 3 deficit to the Miami Heat to have a shot at becoming the first team in the NBA to win a best of 7 series after being down 3 games. After barely winning game 6 with a tip in at 0.01 seconds left the Celtics ultimately fell short of achieving history in Game 7 with the Heat winning in commanding fashion.
The NBA Finals starts on Thursday June 1 at 8:30 PM ET at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. You can see the broadcast schedule below.

Congratulations to the Denver Nuggets, our 2022–2023 NBA Champions! An amazing series with a lot of great highlights that may have seemed one-sided but was still competitive all around. This win marks the first NBA championship for Denver as a franchise! We also have to send a congratulations to Canada's own Jamal Murray on getting his first ring, and this win also solidifies Jokic as one of the all-time best centres in NBA history.
Four months may seem like a long time until the start of the next NBA season, but there is still a lot of basketball going on during the summer to enjoy.
The WNBA season is underway right now, and the FIBA Basketball World Cup will begin in August, where we will also get to see some of the NBA players play for their respective home countries.
There is also the Big 3 basketball league, which starts at the end of June. So there are still a lot of basketball options until the new season begins.
