Gamers, we are in for a treat this month with an array of game releases. 2022 didn’t see much in terms of high-profile releases, as many of them got delayed. God of War and Elden Ring were the only standout releases last year imo. But so far this year, we’ve seen Hogwarts Legacy, Jedi Survivor, and Tears of the Kingdom, and we're not even halfway through the year.
Street Fighter 6 is out officially today, a new entry in the fighting series. With a total of 18 playable characters, featuring some of the originals like Ryu and Ken and some new ones as well. The single-player experience is shaping up to be exciting, with a story mode that includes a variety of missions to help you learn the backstory of these new characters. While single-player sounds like it will be enjoyable, the main focus of the game will be its 1v1 battles to prove who is the best fighter. I’ll be sure to practise my combos for online play, as this latest entry has full cross-play and cross-platform support between PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Early access for Diablo began yesterday, but the official release date is June 6th. Final Fantasy rounds out the month with a release date of June 26th. After this, though, the rest of the summer is looking pretty quiet, as the next big release won’t be until September with the launch of the highly anticipated Starfield!
