With the new year well underway, there are a lot of exciting new IPs coming out as well as some follow-ups to many favorite franchises. With that said, this should be another amazing year for gamers.
I'll try to highlight as many of these video game releases as possible in posts here, but community, feel free to join in or create a new post on anything that may be missed.
One of the first games on my radar is a new IP, Avowed, set to release February 18th. An upcoming first-person as well as third-person RPG. From the previews so far, this game looks great. Set in the world of Eora, building on the lore from previous Pillars of Eternity games, but providing a new viewpoint of that universe.
Game developer Obsidian should be able to maintain their classic approach to storytelling that we've seen in past titles like The Outer Worlds and KOTOR 2 to provide us with a stellar hit. The environment looks to be a massive open zone world filled with rich, beautiful scenery. Mix that with RPG elements of magic and stealth, with a fully unique customizable character build; this should make this a great game and an amazing, differing experience for everyone.
