Looks like another Rogers Outage ....

 

Is anyone else having this issue?

 

I am getting the message on ALL calls from my rogers cell phone.

 

"The number you have called is not assigned. Please check the number and try the call again."

 

Tried Rebooting and swithching off LTE. 

 

Started between 2:14 am and 2:20 am EDT.

 

HELP!!!

Thank you for your posts & Welcome to the Forums!

We can definitely understand how much of an inconvenience this can be.

 

This problem can often be solved by performing, as we call it, a "Resend to Switch".

This essentially means that we are sending the network signal, to your SIM card.

It, then, only requires a simple reboot on your end.

This problem started happening to me yesterday and continues to happen. I cant make outbound calls and i hear the same message as the topic starter, "the number you have reached is unavailable..." I also can't receive incoming calls.

I understand ther inconveniences of the your network connectivity problems you have been experiencing.

 

What measures have you taken since it started happening? 

 

Have you tried to turn your cellphone device off, and then back on?

You also want to make sure that your SIM card is in place.

 

Do you have any problems with SMS/MMS or data transmissions?

 

Have you recently brought any changes to your account?

Hello,

I have restarted my phone many times but it hasnt helped the issue. I have also pulled out my sim card to no avail.

The only issue seems to be receiving and making phone calls. My text messages go through with no issue. I also have no issues accessing the internet on my phone.

I have also not upgraded my phone recently or made any changes to my phone's plan.

Two months ago, i had sent out my own to be sent to warranty as the mainboard seemed to have fried. I got it back last month and it appeared to be working fine until this issue came about.

Is anyone else around you on Rogers having the same issue? If not, it's most likely related to your device/account only & not network wide. To rule out a device issue, if possible please try your sim card in another device.

This is happening to my boyfriend and I as well. Started last night still having the issue this morning. We both have iPhone 6s Plus. Can you guys please figure this out and fix it?

Have you tried doing a hard reboot on your device? Hard reboot is done by holding the home and power button at the same until the phone restarts.

i cannot dial out on my samsung s6. when i call any number i get "the number uou have called is not assigned". version on my phone is 5.1.1. started having this problem since a day. can some help!

That means the number you are calling to is not assigned to anyone. Have you made sure that the number is assigned and correct?

every number i call i get that message so something is wrong with phone. i can text and use wifi or data but not call and get through any number

Have you backed up the phone and performed a factory reset to see if that may fix the issue? Have you contacted Tech support to see maybe its something on the account that needs to be fixed?

Hello @Lesa2281

If when you dial *611 on ur phone it does not work and gives u the same error, that means something is blocking it from outgoing calls. I would suggest calling from a family members line and see if they can reach tech if the first option does not work.

Have you solved this?  I am in the same boat - can't make calls on my s6 to any number, including *611

I am having the same issue and have a newborn so I am unable to go out and ask for another phone. Have you had a resolution? This is extremely inconvenient!
