So ladies and gents, looks like Intel is interested in selling its Home Connectivity Division. That would include the design and engineering capability for modems such as the Hitron CODA-4582 series and Ignite TV Arris TG3482 series, both of which are Intel Puma 7 modems. Intel bought the Puma modem line from Texas Instruments in 2010 and voila, 2 years later we have the Puma 6 modems which Intel is still probably trying to fix, don't know if they've finally managed to do that to the best of their abilities, given the hardware design. So, maybe Intel won't rule the home modem business with its plan to control all of the worlds home networks.
