Apple watch standalone (sperate number) plan?

Will Rogers offer standalone apple watch plan soon? Or already there? if so, could anyone help share the steps of setup? 

Just bought an apple watch from Rogers store and find I don't get a separate number.   Thought its a simple feature both Telus/Bell supported.  I bought the watch for kid so I can contact /track him while he's on the ski trail.  A separate number required.

This is a service that I am looking to get too. We will have to leave Rogers. Roger’s needs to think about providing it as tons of parents want this for their kids.

It works with Bell. Rogers' agents tell me different stories but digging deeper into it I found that Rogers does not have a standalone plan. Bell's plan is called "Smartwatch Standalone" plan @ $13/mo. (1 GB plus call separate line for call features)

This answer is useless. We are looking for the setup for kids. Most parents want to be able to connect to their kids, but don’t want them to have a phone ( because they probably would be distracted).

Please take this seriously and support Family Setup.

Rogers does not have a standalone plan. I spent hours on the phone to get separate numbers for my two kids, I was sent to the store, the apple store and in the end I ended up switching to another provider. They should tell you that before activating a line for each watch, paying activation fees,...

I am soooo annoyed- wish I'd seen this before i spent $1200 to leave telus because they promised me they had this service.  
Which provider did you end up finding that actually does this?

i’m so sorry you have to go through this trouble, but it is troublesome. I ended up going with another provider just for a Apple Watch phone plan. I still don’t think Rogers really understands this particular issue or maybe they’re just turning a blind eye
