A couple of comments on this restriction.First off the message "Connect to in-home WiFi to watch" - you mean I can't use a wired Ethernet connection? I have to use Wifi? The message is actually wrong because being connected via Ethernet works fine...

Does the video output eventually get shut off if you fail to respond? If so, what is the difference in power consumption with the video shut down vs when it is active?

The answer on why is because we want to watch the Masters this weekend and she is packing up her place to move and has misplaced remotes, TV boxes, etc.
