Indeed long before Bluetooth accessories became popularized this was a feature that was often disabled by carriers on early cell phones. Bell, Rogers in the early 2000's also used to not support internet routers because they wanted to sell static IPs...
I am not holding a lot of hope out, Samsung has pretty much ignored me and pointed the finger towards Rogers, and Rogers just flatly ignores me. In my mind that's not very customer friendly.
