New area code availability

According to the news, area code 753 (with along with 343 is an overlay for 613) became available in March. When I signed up a few days ago, I was told that no more 613 numbers were available and 753 weren't available. Does anyone know when 753 numbers will become available?

When you signed up a few days ago, were you able to get a new phone number for your local calling area?

The new 753 area code will be introduced in the regions currently served by area codes 343 and 613 starting around March 26, 2023.

However, numbers with the new area code will only be assigned once there is no longer a sufficient supply of numbers with the existing area codes.
