This year, we unveiled four murals in Central Memorial Park as part of our With You With Pride initiative presented by Rogers together with Shaw to kick off our Calgary Pride Celebrations. The park is the site of the city's first Pride protest over 30 years ago.
With our commitment to supporting and recognizing the 2SLGBTQ+ community all year round, we partnered with The City of Calgary, Calgary Arts Develpment and Calgary Pride comissioning four local 2SLGBTQ+, BIPOC and ally artists to create murals that honor the community.
Located at each of the four corner entrances of the park, Calgarians and visitors alike are invited to visit the murals aiming to tackle questions of ones identity, representing community, belonging and acceptance.
