What is a long-distance charge?

A long-distance charge is the premium charged on voice calls that travel over extended geographic distances.

When do I get charged long-distance?

Outgoing Calling:

If you dial a number that's outside your outgoing local calling area, then it is a long-distance call. Your outgoing local calling area is determined by your physical location—the area you are in at any given moment. Your wireless number is irrelevant! Please visit www.rogers.com/longdistance for more information regarding outgoing local calling areas.

If you dial a number that's local to your physical location, then it is a local call.
