Last night my packet loss was so high I couldn't even post here.
Today, the packet loss is low enough that I can post, but still pretty poor.

Did a litte bit more debugging on this using tcpdump and pinging my computer from the cloud. It appears that the packet loss is uni-directional, that is, packets from my home are being dropped, not packets from the internet.

I am now starting to think that this is really a mis-configuration or resource contention problem in the CMTS rather than my modem. The problem went away for a several days, now it is back. I don't think anything changed in the modem.
