Go for it, no point wasting time fighting the thing. Any service
provider in Canada will give you the most dumb down version of the
modem, so they keep all the control. Let us know how your experience

Uploading videos to YouTube is still a pain and just forget about it if
it's in HD. I get timeouts along with extremely slow upload speed. My

feature on my Rogers provided modem. ...
It's not an N. Updating firmware might not help. Rogers do offer an N
router/modem but in my experience you're better off getting a dedicated
N router and use the modem as a modem. Better speed and more control

I have had the same problem. I've gone through all settings and
attempted to get help but it seems DPC3825 may have limited resources
and when connected with a dedicated router and have router do all the
hard work I get a much better connection speed...
