Well it turned out it was not my hitron modem causing the packet loss,
after swapping the modem it was still happening, tech came out today and
had to replace a damage cable line outside the house. All is good now,
shouldnt have blame the modem right...
well today i started to get packet loss, no problems in the area after
calling in, pinging to 192.168 was fine and pinging to the WAN ip was
also fine, rogers tech support also confirm the packet loss on the modem
side.. got a tech coming tuesday aft...
in order to disable the "guest" SSID on the Cisco DPC3825 you need to
use the USB key and run the Cisco Connect software. There is a option
within the application that says "Guest Access" within you can turn it

Dont know why theres no stand alone modem like the old Docsis 2's, its
probably a "smarter" move from a business standpoint you know what i
mean, or something like that.I havent needed to bridge the Hitron,
infact i never even bridged my old SMC8014 ...
you can only have 1 internet modem per hi-speed account so in order to
have two interent modems in the same house hold, you need two seperate
accounts which means double the cost, no one is going to do that unless
someone needs a personal internet se...
