Hello all. I'm stuck.
I recently setup an additional PVR (9865), and am using this RF remote for the first time. Upon boot, the remote controls the PVR just fine. I then followed the instructions on the back of the remote, for quick setup of the TV. So using the TV button, I followed the instructions, and the remote successfully controlled my TV volume and power.
However, now there's no control of the PVR. I hit the CBL button, no luck. I try following the same instructions I used for the TV, but using the CBL button and pointing it at the Nextbox, but no luck. What gives? I've setup countless removes for Rogers and never had an issue. All support online refers to programming other devices, not the nextbox.
Am I missing something obvious? Can I somehow 'factory reset' this remote? I'm stumped.
Thanks.

Hey @Holmes!
Certainly a strange occurrence having your remote not appropriately connect to your PVR! That said though it shouldn't be an unsolvable one :). Can you complete the following troubleshooting steps and let us know if the issue persists?
Let us know how it goes!

Unpairing did the trick! I was then able to redo the instructions to control my TV, and the PVR controls stuck this time. Must've been a glitch the first time.
Thanks a bunch.

I have 2 Scientific Atlanta cable boxes, an 8300 and a 4290. I'm trying to get one of the remotes to work on either of these boxes.
The problem remote is a URC2125. I have a 1056B01 that works on both boxes but the Mrs objects to me wandering off and leaving her without a remote.
I've tried the methods described in these forums with no luck. The problem with using the manual method is that I cannot find the codes for either of the cable boxes. I have followed all the links listed in these forums with no luck.
Does anybody know where I can find the codes or is it time to dump the 2125 and get another remote?
I put new batteries in it.
Thanks ...george

Looks like your post was moved to this existing thread. Here's the link again for programming this remote for various devices:
https://www.urcsupport.com/urc_product/champion-plus-urc2125/
Note that this remote does RF and IR and neither of your boxes does RF, so the instructions regarding "pairing" do not apply since that's for RF, but you may wish to "unpair" as indicated in post 2. Do the lights at the top of the remote light up when you press a button? This indicates the batteries are OK. Have you pressed the CBL button so that the remote controls the cable box? You can call Rogers to have them assist, or you could e-mail URC. You could call Rogers stores nearby to see if they have a 1056 that you could trade this remote for. I hate using different remote layouts due to muscle memory, so I always have the same type of remote, even in different rooms.

The lights are working, (I put new batteries in), and I am pressing the CABLE button. Gonna try it again. Thanks for your help
